3It'll do for now until someone makes a better one
By Rickmc
I bought this for my iPhone 5 and have used it for over a month now. It's the only game in town to give you both wireless charging and an extended battery. I give it 3 out of 5 stars because it works, I subtract 2 stars for the following items:

1) when the snap battery is attached, you can flip open the access door and plug in the micro usb cable to charge, however, if you remove the battery to make the phone thinner, you must remove the bottom section of the case in order to plug in or sync. Obviously you use the wireless charger whenever available but if you go anywhere like a hotel, friends house, vacation house etc, you aren't going to be dragging the charging pad around I'm sure.

2) UGLY gap at the bottom. Not only is it ugly, it fills with dirt and dust, pollen etc. I know this because I am looking at it and it's filled with undesirable schmeg.

3) It gets very hot when charging the iPhone internal battery from the external powermat battery.

4) Case isn't really for protection, it's more to hold the snap battery. I dropped it at some point I guess and it's got a crack in the upper corner of the hard plastic case.

5) You will not fit any of your head phones or mp3 line in cords into the small hole at the bottom. Better get yourself a bluetooth headset if you intend to listen to music from it.

6) No wireless charging pad with a car or usb adapter.

I did manage to minimize the ugliness of the gap at the bottom with the copper colored accent piece that screams "LOOK AT MY GAP, LOOK AT MY GAP". I placed a piece of black electrical tape over it so that it blends in better.

I also managed to hodge podge a wireless charging pad for my car. GPS directions sucks the battery out of the phone as we all know and even with an external battery, you better not count on an hour(s) long drive with GPS directions going. I wanted a way to use the wireless charging pad without having to constantly plug and unplug the phone into a usb cable.

I bought an extra single charging pad. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0082YVBMM/ref=oh_details_o08_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought a magnetic phone mount: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008IOQ3K6/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I bought a fan less, silent transformer: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001539B7O/ref=oh_details_o07_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

The transformer plugs into my backseat power plug. Be sure to verify the plug is not a hot plug and actually has power cut to it when you turn the key off. The magnetic phone mount has an adhesive metal plate that sticks to the back of the charging pad and a super sticky silicone suction cup. You plug the charging pad into the transformer and that gives it power just like at your desk. You magnetically stick the charging pad to the phone mount and voila, instant wireless car charging.

I have mine at an angle to easily see the GPS directions. The magnetic battery pack sticks pretty good but will come loose if jarred. I solved this with 2 small pieces of double sided clear scotch tape you can get at the grocery store. Doesn't have to be very sticky, just add a little friction to help the magnetic pull hold the phone to the charging pad. Works perfect.

Even with all the problems, this does what I need, it charges in the car, charges at my desk, gives me an extended battery and is a great stop gap until someone (maybe even duracell powermat) makes a more aesthetic design that you can plug ear phones into and doesn't have a dirt catcher at the bottom.

1absolute trash

within the first week two parts have broken off, the charger actually sucks battery out of it after it's fully charged meaning leaving it to charge over night isn't an option, you wake up with a dead battery and dead phone.

4Very Useful
By Jenny J.J.I.
The Duracell Power mat battery case my husband is familiar with ( I have a Android) from his iPhone 4 and so he love the fact that he still don't have to keep on plugging his phone to charge it. Unlike any other similar products which look sort of bulky and huge.

Furthermore, the copper tab is a very nice touch, it definitely give it more value. The battery snap features are very nicely designed as well, might seems difficult to use for the first time, (because no one has done something like this before) but once you get it, it's very easy to snap on and off. Even with the snap battery on, the whole form is very easy in the hand. Headphone jack opening at the bottom might be a problem for people who plug in their headphone in and out all the time, but with apple earphone, no problem at all.

My husband is not a big headphone user, so it's not a concern, you can always detach the bottom frame with an ease. Again, this product is designed to work well, and also make you look good.
